But it is wonderful. It cooks just like an oven - some things even better like buffalo wings and things you want to get crisp. It is great for heating up leftovers from the restaurant....it is quick and much better than the microwave. The convection oven really works. When I saw it had a convection oven I thought "I won't use that", but I do.
It has a unique cooking feature. It has top and bottom burners and they alternate between the two - so the top doesn't overcook or burn before the bottom is done, or vice-versa. I have never seen this in a toaster oven. I think this is the trick for the food coming out so well.
The toast might take a smidge longer than a real toaster, but it comes out perfect every time. It is especially good on frozen waffles, bagels - things that might get too dried out or soggy in a regular toaster.
It is very good looking and very easy to keep clean because of the slide out crumb tray.
One drawback is the timer. It automatically is set at 30 minutes and you have to go back minute by minute to the lower times (which most of the things I cook take). It should automatically be set at 15 and then work your way up or down from there. But this is no biggie, which is why I didn't mark it down a star.
So no need to shop around - this is it, and it is super quiet.
