I'm very disappointed in this item. Toasting: You have a choice of 9 numbers for the setting; each number is a fixed time. For me, setting 7 is too weak and setting 8 burns the toast. The rack has 4 settings, #2 burns the bottom before the top is brown, setting 3 burns the top before the bottom is brown. So I end up using toast setting 4 and then turning the bread over and using setting 3.
Bake: the bake setting thinks it toasting. the heating elements in the top & bottom alternate heating in the toast function and this unit alternates in the bake mode. Impossible to bake small item without burning before done.
